Job Description

Scheme ManagerHenley-in-Arden, Warwickshire£23,204 (pro-rata)Position: part-time, 20 hours per weekOur clients busy leasehold team manages almost 5,000 leasehold, freehold and shared ownership homes across the West Midlands.As Scheme Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a leasehold scheme for the elderly comprising 52 properties. You will ensure that the two blocks are well-maintained both internally and externally and will support and advocatefor the residents there, building excellent relationships and day-to-day support as necessary.In housing you can make a real difference, the role of Scheme Manager will involve:

  • Ensuring an excellent standard of customer service.
  • Acting as the first point of contact between our clients residents.
  • Managing customer enquiries and feedback professionally and effectively,
  • Supervising the general running of the scheme, overseeing on-site contractors, and ensuring works are completed to a high standard.
  • Maintenance of up-to-date records regarding emergency contacts and key support contacts for each resident.
  • Updating Care Alarm records as necessary.
  • Carrying out and keeping good record of internal and external block inspections.
  • Recording maintenance issues and ensuring they are carried out to a high standard.
As Scheme Manager we need you to have:
  • The ability to deal effectively with a range of customer enquiries and challenges in a responsible and sensitive manner.
  • Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding issues, particularly in relation to older people.
  • Knowledge and understanding of key health and safety risks and how these apply in an older person’s accommodation setting.
  • A good level of written and verbal communication skills to enable effective communication with customers, other teams and external agencies.
  • Good problem-solving and negotiating skills.
  • Good general education including English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above.

  • Relevant experience working in a social housing setting.
  • Relevant experience working with older people.
