Due to an increase in allocated work and project demands on their Capital Projects works stream a tier 1 civil engineering contractor are seeking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor to complement their team working on clean water infrastructure projects.The role is being offered on a hybrid working basis with 1 day per week expected on site.The company operate across the civil engineering, rail and utilities sector, they are well placed to offer ongoing work as this work stream continues to grow.The RoleReporting to the Commercial Manager the Senior Quantity Surveyor will be required to manage risks and opportunities whilst building excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Working on a design and build contract administered under NEC terms and conditions ,typical duties will include: Managing cost allocations Cost and value forecasting and reportingIdentification and management of change to the contractManagement of payment applicationsSupporting junior members of the Quantity Surveying teamExperience RequiredSuitable applicants will be educated to BSc Quantity Surveying and will be able to demonstrate no less than five years Quantity Surveying experience gained within the civil engineering sector.A thorough working knowledge of NEC contracts is essential.
