Job Description

Job title: Support Worker Waking NightsLocation:Larchfield Community, Stokesley Road, Hemlington, Middlesbrough, TS8 9DYPurpose: To provide autonomous assistance to the people we support to fulfil their potential for independence, choice, inclusion, and control.Salary: £19,500 (NB: This is on a four-week payment cycle meaning you get paid 13 times per year at £10.00 per hour).Hours:37.5 hours Monday to Sunday Waking Nights. Role requirements:
  • You will preferably have experience of supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism and distressed behaviours/emotions. However, this is not essential as training will be given.
  • Youll ideally have a driving license (no more than three points) but again, this is not essential. The people youll support may wish to have a day trip: youll have the use of our pool cars or local public transport so you can take people out on dailyactivities.
  • Youll have a general education, good numeracy, and literacy skills and preferably a Level 2 or 3 NVQ in Care (or equivalent). This isnt essential as we can support you in your training and qualifications. With our training, you will be able to write dailynotes, keep financial records and complete some basic reports. You will be trained to a Level 3 standard in the administration of medication via the local college.
