Job Description

Are you a positive and solution orientated person with a passion for driving Business DevelopmentDo you have previous experience within Fluid Power Management or EngineeringIf so, this could be the perfect role for you in your career.Our established and growing client are looking for a Business Development Manager to join the team!Hours - Monday to Friday 08:30am - 17:00pm.Location - South West of England, required to travel to different locations such as Bristol, Plymouth and some parts of Cornwall.Salary - £45,000 per annum. Main Responsibilities;To Build Key Account strategy for both existing and new customers (including forecast/plans) aligned to group strategy to achieve growth and profitability targets.

  • Drive key account management process/tools to achieve annual growth & margin targets.
  • Acquire a full understanding of key customers needs and map customer organisation at all levels to get desired insights.
  • Achieve revenue and profitability targets through group industrial network and the distribution network in defined region / segment.
  • Ensure leads are well qualified and appropriate action for follow up and conversion to orders are met in a timely manner.
  • Developing persuasive, concise proposals and presentations for customers
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key customer stakeholders including purchasing, procurement, and maintenance teams
  • Establish develop and maintain effective working relationships with all work colleagues, Customers & Suppliers.
  • Participate in learning and development activities that develop personal effectiveness and assist in improving performance in the role.
Essentials needed for this role;
  • Development & Management of Fluid Power Business
  • An in-depth knowledge of Fluid Power Systems Components
  • A good understanding of Electronic Control interfaces
  • Demonstrable ability to qualify leads in a fast-paced environment.
  • A very good commercial understanding of sales and Margins
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels of the business
  • Computer/systems experience
