Job Description

Are you an Expeditor looking for a new role Are you skilled in driving supplier performance and efficiency into production through order management and material control Do you want to be part of Supply Chain Team tasked with driving change and improvingsupply chain performanceKingscroft has been asked to recruit for an Expeditor for a specialist automotive component manufacturer. As the ideal candidate you will have worked in a fast paced manufacturing operation and be skilled at delivering first class material supply through ordermanagement, supplier liaison, stock control and process improvements.The supply chain team are tasked with improving current processes from the way suppliers are measured, partners are chosen, risk is shared and materials ordered and supplied. This will be a brilliant opportunity to work with a core set of suppliers and helpto create the best possible supply chain environment to allow company growth and success.Your role will involve

  • Drive Supplier On Time in Full Delivery
  • Introduce ongoing measures of customer satisfaction by setting jointly agreed performance improvement targets internally and within the supply base.
  • Establish weekly, monthly quarterly reviews with key suppliers using standardised reporting mechanisms and procedures to drive performance improvement.
  • Negotiate freight costs, Inco and payment terms to improve margin and cash flow.
  • Drive down inventory levels through use of the runner / repeater / stranger principles.
  • Implement stock holding and call off systems for both indirect and direct production supplies (runners) which take into account vehicle life and customer schedule coverage.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with suppliers, using this process to set and monitor performance improvements and development plans for individual work streams, providing regular feedback both formally and informally.
  • Introduction of supplier work streams for Direct Line Feed (DLF), kanban and other lean manufacturing initiatives with the specified suppliers as directed by the business.
