Job Title: Logistics Project Co-ordinator (1 Year Fixed Term Contract - Mat Cover)Our client are a well established Freight Forwarder, with a long standing history within the Logistics and Freight Forwarding sector. They are looking to further develop their presence in the North East, so are looking for enthusiastic, driven individualsto join the team to support the further growth and expansion of the company.PURPOSE OF JOB:To co-ordinate shipments of large scale materials and equipment across the globe, providing all transport and logistics related services to Transport and Logistics Lead, Project Team, Suppliers and Client.This role represents an amazing opportunity for Logistics staff wanting to break into the highly desirable Project Freight Forwarding sector.Key Features of the role:

Assess and determine order of priorities on a daily basis with regards to workload
Prepare shipping documents
Issue quotations
Handle queries
Client visits when required
Ensure clients timetables are achieved
Booking relevant transports from global locations
Cross checking suppliers paperwork
Prepare and Send pre-alerts
Ensure all job files are completed in accordance with QA and project requirements
Check and confirm shipment arrivals to destination

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ATRIBUTES:The job holder will need to be able demonstrate:

Project Freight Forwarding Experience (Highly Desirable)
Multi-modal transport Experience (Air / Sea / International Road Freight)
Familiar with Incoterms and Customs processes and documentation
Customs Focused has a determination to deliver a job well done
Able to prioritise and meet deadlines
Highly organised, with a good eye for detail
Effective at interacting with suppliers, service providers and colleagues.
Understanding of costing and client quotations
Dangerous Goods experience (Highly Desirable)
