Job Description

British Sign Language (B.S.L.) Teaching Assistant£450 - £500 per week North West London Full-timeWe are current working with a wonderful school in North West London seeking an experienced BSL Teaching Assistant to join their friendly and ambitious team. The professional staff members provide specialised education that transforms the lives of childrenand is driven by a genuine passion for making a change. As a B.S.L. Teaching Assistant, you will have the full support of the inspiring headteacher who firmly emphasises the importance of employee wellbeing and career development. The position will start inSeptember on a full time basis for the full academic year.Brief Job overview: BSL SEN Teaching Assistant

  • £450 - £500 per week (Full time, 5 days per week)
  • Small classes to support staff and create a safe environment for all.
  • As a BSL SEN Teaching Assistant, youll be welcomed into a warm and inclusive community.

Ideal Requirements:
  • Certified in British Sign language (B.S.L.)
  • Experience working with children/young people with Special Educational Needs
  • Ability to relay B.S.L. from hearing impaired students to non-signing students
  • Be dedicated, engaging and inspiring
  • Be committed to ensuring pupils make good, sustained progress
  • Assist and support the classroom teacher with the day-to-day running of a class.
  • Will go above and beyond to change the lives of young people.
  • Excels in building solid relationships with students and staff.
  • Can adjust to and overcome challenges whilst following appropriate protocol.
