Job Title: Accounting AssistantLocation: Milton KeynesJob Summary:We are currently seeking a highly experienced Accounting Assistant with advanced knowledge of XERO and Excel to join our team in Milton Keynes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the UK taxation and finance system, with previous experiencein the hospitality industry being a valuable asset. This role will involve assisting with various accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, data entry, financial reporting, and payroll processing.Responsibilities:1. Provide support in accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoice processing, vendor management, and customer billing.2. Conduct accurate data entry and maintain meticulous financial records to ensure the integrity of financial information.3. Assist in preparing financial reports and contribute to budgeting processes to aid in decision-making.4. Perform bank statement reconciliations and assist with month-end closing procedures.5. Assist in processing payroll and ensuring timely reimbursements of employee expenses.6. Act as the first point of contact for both Falak Royal and Haulystic for any accounting-related queries.7. Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless workflow and effective communication.8. Possess competence in the UK taxation and finance system, providing knowledgeable support in financial matters.9. Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred, although not mandatory.10. A minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role is required.11. Strong proficiency in accounting software such as XERO is essential.12. Expertise in advanced Excel, including V-Lookups and XERO functionality, is required.13. Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record keeping.14. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.15. Solid knowledge of accounts payable and receivable processes.16.
