Job Description

An Account Manager with a background in events, hospitality or working with venues is needed to join our team at Absolute Venues, the UK’s leading venue finders based in Cheshire on a full-time basis.We are based in Hale Cheshire for over 20 years. We specialise in delivering Meetings, Conference’s, and Accommodation bookings, UK Europe and Worldwide.Based from our office in Hale, this is an exciting and very interesting opportunity to develop this department and contribute towards a growing business. Events are hard work but has amazing rewards.This is an excellent opportunity to progress your career with a well-established company!About the RoleThe successful candidate will be required to provide an effective and proactive administrative function relating to all events and to efficiently collate our client requirements in order to deliver the highest levels of customer service.We work on the Gratis / Venue Directory platform which training will be given if required.Key Responsibilities:

  • You will work closely with our key clients, developing, nurturing, and maintaining excellent relationships across all levels of the M&E business
  • Researching and obtaining quotations from Hotels and Venues, producing accurate client proposals, sourcing event locations throughout UK, Europe, Worldwide
  • Rate negotiations with hotels and venues working to processes and time frames to deliver fully detailed proposals
  • You will also need to be able to work across several events at the same time and prioritise your own time
Required Skills:
  • The successful candidate will have impeccable organisational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with people both inside and outside the organisation and enjoy working as part of a small team
  • You will be highly customer focused, and have an excellent command of English language both written and orally
  • This is an exciting opportunity for a pro-active candidate with a can-do attitude and outstanding attention to detail
  • The applicant should be able to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, be highly motivated with excellent negotiation and communication skills along with excellent time management skills
Required Experience:
  • Ideally you will be from a Hotel / Conference or Agency background
  • You will need to be able to work under pressure whilst demonstrating exceptional attention to detail
