Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious finance professional to join the team at Galeta Bakery. This is a new role that will see a Qualified Accountant bridge the gap between finance and the operational/sales teams to ensure the business is best placed for profitable growth into the future.The role will require an exceptional individual who wants a commercially focused role that will report directly to the MD and will engage with the leadership team on a daily basis across two sitesPrevious experience in an FMCG or manufacturing will be an advantage, but not essential. This role will also be accountable for technical finance rhythm and routine, including month end processes and day to day oversight of our finance function and P&L.About GaletaGaleta started in 2011 on a market stall and since our humble beginnings we’ve grown into a thriving wholesale bakery and now supply some of Londons finest eateries alongside national chains. We are now in a position to recruit a senior finance professional to lead our team and help realise our ambitious 3 year growth plans. Over the next 3 years we want to significantly increase the size of the business and are ready to invest in different areas to help achieve these plans in line with commercial performance.The right person will be able to shape their team and the wider business, with commercial acumen at the heart of their actions they will influence change at all levels. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to quickly and effectively drive change, improve commercial performance and shape their role.Key responsibilities:

Lead budgeting and forecasting processes

Lead with annual planning cycle

Manage and control pricing/purchases

Provide insights & analysis vs budget and forecast

Quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting

Prepare, review and challenge proposed projects using ROI calculations

Sales reporting & analysis on a weekly and monthly basis

Own month end process

You will ensure visibility and understanding of timely, clear and relevant KPIs.

Business partner MD to assist with the execution of business strategy

Experience:

Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)

FMCG / production background

Advanced Excel and data analysis / manipulation skills

Commercial finance experience - partnering non-finance

Experience of running a finance function
