Residential Childrens & Young People Support WorkersSalary from £10.25 per hr + £50 sleep allowanceDAYS: 7:30am -10pmDAYS: 7.30am-3pm OR 2pm-10pmFULL SHIFT: 7:30am -10pm & Sleep 7.30am finish WAKE NIGHTS: 10pm-7.30am ProSkillz are working in partnership with an OFSTED rated GOOD childrens residential home in the Great Wyrley area who are looking for NVQ 3 qualified Residential Childrens & Young People Support Workers to join their team in a solo placement childrenshome on a bank or permanent contract.This is normally a 2 Bedded EBD Childrens Home but they currently have a solo placement for the foreseeable future.The home is looking for NVQ 3 Childrens and Young People support workers that enjoy encouraging, motivating and caring for young people, as well as maintaining boundaries and identifying any concerns young people face in todays society.The ideal candidate must have the following:

NVQ 3 or Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent
previous experience working with children with EBD and/or Learning Disabilities
the ability to work independently and as part of a team,
Support colleagues manage behaviours that may challenge,
Support and participate in young peoples social, life-long learning plans and recreational activities in line with care/ support plans, trips out and holidays.
Support Workers are expected to act as a Key worker to specified individual young person, taking on responsibility for specified areas of care and support. This includes ensuring all medical needs are met and supporting the young person to advocate his/herown needs and wishes.
Support Workers are expected to encourage young people to maintain acceptable levels of personal and environmental hygiene.
