Job Description

Our client is a large manufacturing business based in Chesterfield. Due to ongoing success, our client is now looking to appoint a Production Planner.Working in conjunction with the Manufacturing/Production Manager, your duties will include:-

Producing daily and weekly plans for the production team, ensuring customers expectations are met

Ensuring all production activities are documented

Monitoring production progress

Utilising internal planning systems (SAP) and (Excel) to potentially identify product shortages

Working closely with procurement and team leaders

Mentoring on business systems and processes

Continually looking for areas of improvement

To be considered for this role you will need to have:-

Previous experience in a production planning role

Knowledge of Excel

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage your own time

A willingness to learn and ultimately become an SAP super user

Experience of SAP or similar ERP system would be advantageous
