Job Description

Job Title: SEN TALocation: GortonDaily Rate: £85 to £90 per day+SEN AllowanceStart Date: January 2024GSL Education Manchester are looking forSpecial Education Needs Teaching Assistantsto work within a community special school inGorton.This is afull-timeposition,5 days a week,term timeonly,and offers you the opportunity to excel within your career and make a real difference to the quality of young people’s lives.SEN Teaching Assistant Requirements:

  • Be hardworking, dedicated, and committed to a long-term post.
  • All must have qualifications and UK experience and First Aid and Team Teach is desirable but not required.
  • Excellent communication skills. Candidates with experience using PECs and Makaton are advantageous but not essential.
  • Work alongside teaching staff and other support staff within schools, to support pupil behavior, learning and personal development.
  • Encourage pupil participation in Whole-School life, including extra-curricular activities where appropriate.
  • Promote a positive attitude and behavior towards learning.
  • Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions, following lesson outcomes planned by the class teacher.
  • Have a Teaching Assistant Qualification, Degree, NVQ or relevant experience.
