Working for a privately owned group of Companies primarily in the real estate investment field, this is an opportunity for an experienced and commercially astute Financial Controller to head up a small finance team and add real value to both the operationand the bottom line.With a growing investment portfolio that spans both residential and commercial property, the Financial Controller can expect a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment with plenty of opportunity to get involved in supporting the operation from acquisitions anddisposals, through to financial project management and tax planning on complex investments.Financial Controller Responsibilities:Bridging the gap between operational management and a small in-house finance team, the Financial Controller will lead the team to help develop and strengthen processes and procedures, whilst also taking the lead on financial modelling and forecasting to supportstrategic decision making. In addition, the Financial Controller will prepare and present all group management reporting packs, as well as managing the year-end accounts preparation process and all statutory reporting requirements. This truly is an all-roundrole!Financial Controller Requirements:You will be a CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified accountant with experience operating at Financial Controller level (or equivalent). You will previously have led and managed a team and you will be excited by the prospect of a role that allows you to work at a strategiclevel, whilst also maintaining a strong finger on the pulse of the business day to day. An understanding of the commercial aspects of Real Estate, including an awareness of capex/development monitoring, property manager functions and Real Estate debt, taxetc is preferred.Working closely with the Managing Director, you will be adept at managing and communicating with various stakeholders. You will be flexible in your style and used to acting as a confidential sounding board and trusted advisor.
