Job Description

Field Line Manager - Permanent roleSalary: c. £45k DOELocation: Peterborough - Covering engineers in the East of the countryMy client is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Field Line Manager to join their growing Electrical business unit. As a Field Line Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing and supporting the team of engineers who conduct electrical testing,inspections, and repairs across housing association and local authority properties.About My ClientThey are a trusted compliance safety company, dedicated to ensuring that our customers properties are safe and meet current legislations. With a focus on electrical testing, inspections, and repairs, they currently maintain, service, and repair over 70,000housing association and local authority properties across the UK.Key Responsibilities

  • Manage engineers activity on site, reviewing First Time Fix Ratio (FTF), daily productivity, and addressing any issues promptly.
  • Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety policies, promoting a culture of Near Miss Reporting and Awareness.
  • Managing safe driving standards, reviewing company vehicle usage and upkeep.
  • Approving weekly timesheets and verify on/off site times using tracking software.
  • Managing employee absence, including holidays, and provide IT and technical support for engineers.
  • Overseeing stock control and supply of materials to engineers, addressing client concerns and implementing improvement measures.
  • Participating in the Out of Hours Escalation Team Rota and manage the recruitment and onboarding process.
Ideal Candidate
  • City & Guilds 2382 (18th Edition)
  • NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds 2360/2330 part 1 & 2 qualification
  • City and Guilds level 2 & 3 Electrical Installations
  • City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent (preferable, training may be provided)
  • Previous electrical experience in a domestic environment
  • Understanding of Health and Safety Regulations
  • Full UK driving license
