I am working with a Local Authority based in Leicestershire who are looking for an experienced Senior Auditor for 2-3 months initially.The role is full time, to start ASAP and paying £200 - £400 Umbrella per day (dependant on experience) The role is in scope of IR35.Primarily undertaking a portfolio of risk based audits of new or emerging complex, technical, political and sensitive issues. Occasionally undertaking complex parts of a pre-defined work programme. Within the agreed scope of work, to: - * Devise a clear outline of the scope of the audit and how it will be undertaken * For risk based audits, using risk management methodology, to identify, evaluate and agree the relevant key risks with the appropriate risk owners consistent with the engagements activities * Evaluate controls, design and apply tests and obtain sufficient and relevant evidence to confirm controls are operating as required in order to form an opinion * Report verbally and in writing the conclusion reached and the level of assurance to be given * Make balanced recommendations for improvements where appropriate * Adhere to the standards and processes established for the Service * Schedule and control assigned work to ensure delivery within allocated budget and timeframes * Provide guidance and support as necessaryExperience required
