Job Description

Seven Resourcing is working with Leicestershire County Council to recruit a full-time and part-time Personal Advisor for their Leaving Care Service in Glenfield.£14.43ph PAYE or £17.76ph Umbrella.Initial 3 month contract with the onlook of extension. If you want temp - perm then you can re-apply via the council, however youre in a much better position if youre already working there!Job Purpose:- To support the work of Children in Care Service incorporating our Care Leaver services (some with unaccompanied asylum seeking and refugee young people).Duties:To be responsible for carrying out all the duties of the job in accordance with the County Councils Equal Opportunities PolicyTo meet Childrens Workforce development Confederation Induction StandardsSupport and advocate for Children & Young People who are Looked After or Leaving Care (including Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children/Young People).To contribute to Single Assessments. To contribute to Age Assessments.To supervise contact visits when parents are visiting children who are looked after.To provide necessary transport for children/young people and parents/carers.To undertake identified Life Story WorkTo undertake such other duties as are within the scope of the job purpose, the title of the job and its grading.To attend supervision compliant with CYPS Supervision policy and procedure and with the Team Manager at annual PDR and mid-year review their individual and developmental needs.To complete Common Induction Standards and undertake continuing professional and personal development to develop and update knowledge and skills.Applicant Requirements: Qualifications:

      Level 3 childcare qualification (NNEB/NVQ3 or equivalent)
Experience: Relevant paid or unpaid experience of working with young people within a social care setting or similar.Providing support services to young people and/or unaccompanied and refugee young peopleExperience of behavioural work with children / young people and their carerCompliance: Up to date Passport and DBS.Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.Hours: 37 hours p/w.Working with Seven Social Care: We have been helping social care professionals find exciting new roles for almost a decade, so we know exactly where to look when it comes to sourcing the best opportunities.
