Infrastructure Engineer, 3rd Line, Hybrid role, onsite Leicester 2 days per week £45-55kWould you like to be an Infrastructure Engineer with working on new projects and 3rd line Infrastructure support as part of an experienced Infrastructure Team Are you keen to learn and take on new technical challengesOur client helps major household names & UK market leaders to improve their customer communications & build the best customer relationships. It has production and digital communications to deliver this. Theres over 50 people in the IT department so lots ofexpertise and talented IT colleagues to liaise with learn from.With operations at multiple locations, the technical environment includes Hybrid Cloud Environment, Azure, AWS, Veeam, Monitoring application (Checkmk), VMware, Active Directory (Group Policy Configuration), Wins Server, SAN, Patch Management, System Hardening,MS Clustering, Firewall policies /Administration, CISCO networking, Powershell, MS365 & APIsYoull contribute to a range of projects such as a complete refresh to new infrastructure hardware at one of the company sites where you can assist with implementation, configuration and even the architecture if you have the skills and interest to do so. Thereare many other projects on the horizon too such as wins server upgrades, improving infrastructure resilience and moving to ITIL.3rd line Infrastructure support of service requests and incidents on a broad range of tech is also your remit, so youll logically troubleshoot & problem solve to resolve issues. You might liaise with the business to understand the service issue so that youcan systematically find the resolution.As the company grew via acquisition resulting in various infrastructure from each acquired company, it is modernising its infrastructure to cloud, new data centres and new strategic platforms. Lots of change, growth with further acquisitions and transitioningto Public Cloud and Enterprise Cloud mean lots of new Infrastructure challenges are on the horizon for you to contribute to. You will be recognised for your efforts and contribution.ABOUT YOU:Wed like to hear from you if you have:* Broad experience of IT Infrastructure and troubleshooting to 3rd line support* Experience of Networking (Routing), Veeam, Monitoring application (Checkmk), VMware, Active Directory (Group Policy Configuration) Wins Server, SAN, Patch Management, System Hardening, MS Clustering, Firewall policies / Administration, CISCO networking, MS365& APIs* VMWare (essential)* Good communications skills to liaise with IT colleagues of all levels* An enthusiastic approach, self-motivated, enjoy problem solving and like sharing your ideas for improvements.* Enthusiasm for working on a breadth of infrastructure projects and support* Requires a driving licenceBeneficial technical skills (but not essential to apply) are: Hybrid Cloud Environment, Azure, AWS,IIS / Web configuration, CentOS, Linux + working in an ITIL environment.Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 + depending on experience plus benefitsHybrid working where you will be required in the Leicester office 2 days a week, usually Wednesday and Thursday and the rest of the time you can work from home.It is office hours Monday to Friday with an on call remote support requirement for which there is additional payment.
