Job Description

Were on the lookout for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our client based in Leicester. Starting salary £50,000 plus per annum, uncapped commission with a Company car. About the roleAs a Business Development Manager, you will be primarily responsible for driving business growth and extending the reach of our products and services in order to increase revenue.Key responsibilitiesThe role of Business Development Manager is mainly concerned with sales, management of client relations:

  • Creating development plans and forecasting sales targets and growth projections
  • Tendering and securing contracts with large commercial clients within such industries like; construction and property development, hospitality and property management
  • Tenacity and drive to seek new business and meet or exceed targets
  • Identifying market opportunities through meetings, networking, and other channels
  • Meeting existing and potential clients and building positive relationships
  • Liaising with colleagues to develop sales and marketing strategies
  • Preparing financial projections and sales targets
  • Preparing sales development presentations and participating in meetings
  • Producing reports for management
  • Participating in training, training content reviews and creation for business developers and sales colleagues
  • Traveling to clients offices, sites, and venues
  • Possessing a strong understanding of the companys products, the competition in the industry and positioning
Experience, Qualifications and Skills Required
  • The ability to sell ideas, products and services
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask
  • A strategic and creative mind
  • Strong leadership qualities to lead a team
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Technical skills to understand and propose products or solutions by focusing on the clients requirements
  • Solid IT skills and knowledge of necessary software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other statistical analysis software.
  • The ability to motivate themselves and others
  • A solid understanding of business and marketing principles
  • Previous experience in business development role.
  • Prior knowledge and experience of the heating sector is essential
  • Proven track record in sales and business growth
  • Existing portfolio of commercial clients
  • Access to numerous useful industry contacts
