Job Description

Tempting Recruitment are working alongside our client, a Public Sector Organisation, who are looking to recruit an experienced Financial Operations Officer to join their team based in the Somerset area.JOB DETAILS* SALARY: £28,986 Per Annum * WORK TYPE: 13 month FTC (Maternity Cover)* WORK PATTERN: Full Time* LOCATION: SomersetJOB SUMMARYYou will guarantee that income is fully and accurately recorded in the organisations accounting and housing management systems, answering questions about allocation and assisting the Finance Operations Team Leaders. You will also create invoices for the sales ledger, receiving, posting, and reconciling revenue, accurately posting this to customer accounts, supporting credit control, sending out reminders, and pursuing debt as necessary.JOB DESCRIPTIONThe duties and responsibilities of the role will include: * Processing all incoming payments and ensuring that they are assigned to the appropriate accounts. manual and batch posting of payments and benefits to the system for managing finances and housing. additional debtor invoices and cash receipts being enteredinto the accounting system* To react to requests from customers to make payments by standing order, direct debit, giro, or other methods as well as to raise and dispatch debtor invoices as necessary in accordance with established protocols.* Resolution of unposted and questioned items as well as the reconciliation of cash and transfer postings.* Processing of refunds* Posting payments made with HB and Universal Credit to client accountsTHE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATEThe successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:* 5 GCSEs with English and maths at grade C or higher* Working knowledge of a transaction processing team.* Working in a field where data protection is essential and adhering to rules to reduce this risk requires knowledge and experience.* Working with computerised accounting systems and having quick IT system learning.* Working knowledge of an office setting for transaction processing.Please be advised that only candidates that have the specific skills and experiences required for this role will be shortlisted and submitted to our client for review.HOW TO APPLYHit the APPLY button or contact Josh Savage at Tempting Recruitment NOW.
