Job Description

Job description for Supply Chain ManagerDo you want to be part of a team that delivers world-class submarine capabilities to the Royal Navy If so, then you might be the perfect fit to join the Submarine Delivery Agency (SDA) as a Supply Chain Manager.At the SDA, we have a vital mission: to deliver the United Kingdom’s submarine capability and ensure the Royal Navy have the cutting-edge, life-saving tools and battle-winning capabilities to overcome any challenge, now and in the future.As a Supply Chain Manager, you will be contributing to the delivery and support of supply chain activities, covering Demand planning, Inventory Supply Planning, Supplier Management, Supply Risks and Supply Chain Performance Management. Data you provide tostakeholders will support their decision making. You will be working collaboratively within a large team to ensure the delivery of time sensitive outputs for our front-line customers. It is a fast-paced role and will involve contributing to large amounts ofcustomer engagement, allowing you to utilise your experience and skills within stakeholder management both written and verbally.You will be supported by your line managers, and you will have the opportunity to develop your career within SDA and the wider organisation through formal training and on the job learning.At SDA, we champion flexible ways of working. Regular in-person attendance is expected 3 days per a week at the Clyde offices to promote the benefits of face-to-face collaboration alongside flexibility of hours to support work-life balance. Initially, youmay be expected to attend more frequently to familiarise yourselves with the site, the team, and your role.Due to the security requirements this post is reserved for Sole UK Nationals only. What you’ll be doing

  • Interpret and analyse data and management information to identify trends, risks, and issues, and provide performance reports as required.
  • Utilising Ministry of Defence Logistics Information Systems to provide supply chain data on request.
  • Engaging with internal and external stakeholders as required on matters related to stores performance of submarine’s maintenance periods.
  • Develop applications on our specialised information management system to assist with producing LFE (learn from experience) reports.
Please note: Positions will be offered in Interview Merit order (Further details can be found in the Selection Process Details). Person specification To be successful with your application, you’ll need to show that you meet the following essential criteria:
  • Background of working within a Supply Chain environment.
  • Skilled in handling, interpreting, and reporting on data.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams)
  • Experience in mentoring, supporting or leading others.
In addition to the responsibilities above, the following technical competences and behaviours will be assessed at interview:
  • Stakeholder Management - Supervised Practitioner
  • Continuous Improvement to Optimise Support - Supervised Practitioner
  • Changing and Improving - CSBC 3
  • Managing a Quality Service - CSBC 3
