Marine Engineering Instructor - Faslane - £50k - £57kAs a Marine Engineering Training Instructor, youll have a role thats out of the ordinary. Providing specialist engineering and nuclear expertise to the training design process. Youll have the opportunity to support the development of the recently establishedskills business, which provides a wide range of engineering training courses.Day to day, youll be working with our Astute-class Training Service team at Marine Training to help train the current and next generation of Submarine Service engineering professionals.Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) support to the review and evaluation of technical data/notifications of change, identifying the impact of change on existing Marine Engineering and Nuclear Steam Raising Plant courseware. Liaison with the training designteam to implement required change to Marine Engineering and Nuclear Steam Raising Plant coursewareProvide other instruction in for example, Confined Space and Working at Height training to students external to the Astute Class Training Service (ACTS) contract. Training is to be delivered to prescribed standards, quality and cost.Deliver classroom and simulator-based training to Nuclear Propulsion Plant Operators and Marine Engineering Equipment MaintainersLiaise with the training design team and provide SME support for the routine review and amendment of Marine Engineering and Nuclear Steam Raising Plant courseware.Essential experience of the Marine Engineering Training Instructor:Comprehensive knowledge and recent experience of operating Naval Nuclear Steam Raising PlantComfortable working both autonomously and collaborativelyEngaging and effective communicatorThis role is full time based on site at HMNB Clyde Faslane, Helensburgh. Qualifications for the Marine Engineering Training Instructor:Qualification as a Category A or B Watchkeeper in the Royal Navy Submarine ServiceThe successful candidate must be able to achieve SC required security clearance level for this role.Our Benefits
