Strategic Weapons Systems Engineer(s)Location: Clyde (Faslane)Salary: £35,000 - £59,000Overview:First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Strategic Systems Engineer on behalf of one of our clients. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced engineer to join a small engineering team playing a key role in the company?s contribution to the Submarine Strategic Weapon Enterprise. Applications from ex-military candidates are actively encouraged, however all candidates will be given due consideration.Duties and Responsibilities:To deliver engineering support to contracted outputs for MoD SWS & SWSS (Strategic Systems) in-service and future submarine programmes including technical reports, data analysis, material analysis, engineering procedures / policy update and programme and schedule reviews.To work effectively and collaboratively with industry partners within the Strategic Weapons Enterprise.To act as an internal subject matter expert for Submarine Strategic Systems, providing advice and facilitating coherent information exchange to support cross business outputs.To manage the engineering and business outputs and requirements of subordinate engineers.Skills and Qualifications:Knowledge of Submarine Strategic Systems activities and recent experience of working with or as part of MoD / RN authorities is highly desirable.Recent experience of working with or as part of MoD / RN authorities.Engineering degree qualification in Electronic/Mechanical discipline with significant demonstrable relevant experience and capability OR HND/HNC in relevant discipline with significant demonstrable relevant experience and capability.Be able to operate independently on tasking basis.Have good interpersonal skills.Membership or applying for membership of a profession engineering body (IET,IMechE).Location: Clyde (Faslane)Salary: £35,000 - £59,000
