Job Description

Due to business growth and expansion an exciting opportunity has become available for a HR Advisor based in the Lichfield area.The HR Advisor will be working as part of a growing team so this is an exciting time to join.Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively partner with managers to embed the culture and values that are key to the business whilst supporting local levels of management and employees to ensure optimum performance in a motivating environment.
  • Advise and support managers and employees with queries on policies, procedures, terms and conditions of employment and legislation to support them in their duties.
  • Work closely with mangers in providing accurate and timely advice and support in the handling of disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence and capability cases ensuring compliance to legislation, policy and procedures and are applied in a fair and consistentmanner.
  • Support recruitment, induction and on boarding processes including preparing job advertisements and job descriptions, sourcing candidates directly and working with recruitment partners. Supports the company induction process to ensure new starters receivethe best possible welcome and support with onboarding plans.
  • Support the delivery of accurate and timely transactional HR support including new starters and probation processes, changes to employment contracts and exit processes.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of current employment law and case practices to encourage and embed best practice.
  • Identify and contribute to the ongoing improvement of HR policy and processes including recruitment, induction and on-boarding processes, health and wellbeing, performance management and reward and recognition activities to optimise employee engagementand performance across the business.
  • Actively support managers in driving engagement with their people, deliver key engagement events throughout the year aligned with the people strategy.
  • Support a company Employee Communications Group facilitating employees voice and driving employee engagement.
  • Work closely with occupational health services to support absence management processes.
  • Support the reporting and analysis of key HR metrics, identifying patterns and trends.
  • Identify areas for improvement and support continuous development of the HR service
  • Ensure internal systems and databases are maintained and updated in an accurate and timely manner when processing transactional information.
  • Ensure annual performance review processes are completed in a timely manner
  • Ensure the continuous accuracy and confidentiality of data stored in employees files; both in electronic form and hard copy in accordance with GDPR.
Qualifications/Skills/Experience
  • Previous experience in HR Administration and looking to develop or previous HR Advisory experience
  • Strong generalist background covering all aspects of HR including supporting recruitment and onboarding processes, a wide range of ER matters, and performance and absence management cases.
  • Confident in own ability to support, advise and coach Managers in all areas of ER.
  • Previous experience of working in a fast paced business environment
  • Strong working knowledge of current employment legislation.
  • Must be able to work flexibly due to varied workload, be highly organised with the ability to prioritise and work to deadlines.
  • Highly driven with a positive and approachable manner.
  • Excellent attention to detail, works with high levels of accuracy and precision.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Must be computer literate and able to use MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, SAP is desirable.
  • Must have a UK driving license with flexibility to travel when needed
Hours:8.30 am - 5.00 pm Monday - FridaySalary : CompetitiveBenefits :
