Job Description

Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting for SEN Support workers and Teaching/Learning Support Assistants to join an Ofsted GOOD SEN School in Slough starting immediately.The roles will be full-time, long-term, supporting various aspects of education (all classroom based), 1:1 and group learning for Key Stage 5 pupils (2-19 years old), the school caters for children with Social Emotional & BehaviouralDifficulties and additional Learning Difficulties / Special Educational Needs.*The school will consider individuals who have experience in mainstream schools and graduates as they will be providing on site training and CPD.Location: Slough (SL2)Duration: Long TermStart Date: ImmediateContract: Monday - Friday (Full-Time)The successful applicants will have:

  • Experience of working with or caring for children of a relevant age (Primary - Key Stage 1 and/or 2, mixed gender)
  • Previous experience working with vulnerable individuals or SEN
  • Excellent Behaviour Management skills
  • Ability to utilise/implement Positive Behaviour Strategies
  • A calm, patient manner and ability to react positively to a fast-changing environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with students, staff and parents/careers
  • Ability to competently use a computer and the Internet (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
  • An Enhanced Child & Adult Workforce barred list DBS Certificate registered on the update service
