Job Description

Are you a Scientist with great analytical skills If so this could be a great opportunity to be part of the fight against COVID-19!We are currently recruiting for Analysts to work at a new testing laboratory in Plymouth.The duties include but would not be limited to :

  • The analysis of real time PCR data generated by the clinical laboratory team to provide results of COVID 19 diagnosis
  • To provide assurance to the laboratory Senior Management Team, through Data Analysis of the credibility of test results produced within the laboratory
  • To assist the laboratory management team with the general laboratory management
  • Review test results, maintains legible work records and enters findings into the laboratory information system (LIMS)
    • Essential Requirements:
  • An understanding of the meaning of results to enable authorisation and appropriate action in dealing with abnormal or unusual results
  • Experience working in a laboratory preferably in Molecular or Microbiology
  • Educated to BSc level in Biomedical Science or other relevant Science degree
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Great attention to detail
    • Desired:
  • Experience of UKAS ISO 15198 accreditation, audit and management
  • Experience of teaching Biomedical science to other staff
  • HCPC registration
