Retail Sales Manager - Bathroom ShowroomLocation: Birmingham B24 9PNSalary: 37.5k -40k depending on the experienceContract: Full Time, PermanentHours: 5 working days in 7 - Saturday/Sunday/Bank Holidays includedRetail Sales Manager - The Role:An exciting opportunity has become available for a Retail Sales Manager to join a well-established company based in Birmingham. The primary role of the appointed candidate will be to drive sales through the retail store and assist in the growth of multipleoutlets. Our store manager will be commercially focused, and completely responsible for everything that goes on in the store and for being our brand ambassador.Duties Include:Building the Bricks & Mortar Stores from the ground up, this is a new venture for the company with huge growth potential.

  • Building product offers from UK suppliers and working with the purchasing team to utilise new lines to enhance our offers.
  • Liaise and engage with UK suppliers and constantly negotiate better terms, launch new products.
  • Assist in merchandising the same product offer online via E-commerce team.
  • Build SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for the product journey from sourcing to final mile delivery.
  • Create monthly offers, define marketing spend and other promotional activities and engage customers in new ways.
  • Have a full understanding of store-level Profit & Loss, its control and constant improvement.
  • Maximise turnover to exceed required targets and identify opportunities for continuous performance improvement.
  • Be a strong presence on the shop floor, driving sales through sales and exceptional customer service.
  • Manage the presentation and merchandising of stock.
  • Maintain awareness of current and market trends, understand forthcoming customer promotions, and monitor local competitors.
  • Delivering an excellent shopping experience for the customer
  • Reviewing sales performance and ensuring measures are put in place to drive sales.
  • Delivering on KPIs and profitability.
  • Recruit, manage and motivate staff to achieve store objectives.
  • Ensure all company standards are implemented and maintained.
  • Assist in the tracking, monitoring, and communication of business results.
  • Deliver a great experience for all customers leading your team in the Retail Manager role.
  • Deliver high standards of visual merchandising.
  • Commercially drive sales in a customer-focused sales environment.
Retail Sales Manager - The Ideal Candidate
  • Previous experience in starting a single-site retail store from the ground up, and developing it, having to use your own initiative to grow the store with limited support.
  • Sales management/retail management experience in a new start-up business.
  • Previous experience within Bathrooms, Plumbing & Heating setting would be a distinct advantage.
  • You will be passionate about selling.
  • You should be an experienced coach, and be able to motivate, coach and develop the team.
  • You will be happy to move products up to the weight of 30kg (with assistance) and be confident in manual handling.
  • You will be able to create business plans and deliver upon those plans.
