Logistics ManagerElstree, HertsTo c £60,000 , bonus and benefitsMy Client is an established Global Pharmaceutical Company. They are recruiting a Logistics Manager who can bring experience of International Pharmaceutical Distribution Logistics Operations within a GDP environment. This role will suit an experienced Logistics Manager who has integrity, ideas, drive and flexibility who wants to be involved in developing Business growth and continual improvement . They will be passionate about seeking cost - effective solutions and planning the efficient and safe shipments of medicinal products to customers across the Globe.Experience within Pharmaceutical, Pharma distributor or third - party contract logistics specializing in Pharmaceutical product, is required, as is working at Management level within a Logistics, warehouse or distribution centre environment.Role Focus :Day to day responsibility for Global logistics planning, ensuring : Compliance with local regulations, Effective and efficient to serve Customers, Manufacturer audit readyAccountable for compliance and efficiency of the warehouse / distribution operation including : Analyse and implement solutions to improve productivity, efficiency stock accuracy and reduce operating and shipment costsNegotiate and oversee the management of logistics associated outsourced servicesInstigate continual improvement methods and co ordinate the sharing of best practice across the GroupKey Duties :Oversee, plan and control all areas of the Warehouse and distribution operation in regard to receiving, processing and dispatching of goodsEnsure inbound and outbound freight is compliant with regulations and is delivered in a timely basis for all customersEnsure efficient and cost effective import and export Operations , mindful of labour and transport carrier costsManage and lead Team ( two direct reports ), and ensure compliance with GDP and Health and Safety GuidelinesEnsure the WMS is fit for purpose and make recommendations for improvement as requiredWork closely with the QA Team in the preparation for internal and external auditsComplete all training for SOPs and ensure they are adhered to by the teamFor more information and apply please send your CV
