Thats why we want bold, creative and agilethinkers who can help us move forward and innovate.For further information about working for Northumberland County Council, please click here: http://workingThe roleAn opportunity has arisen within our Housing Capital Team for a Project Officer on a fixed term secondment basis within the Housing Capital Team in Housing and Public Protection and is funded until 31 March 2023, however this may be extended.Your role is to provide contract administration for the council on all house improvement capital work under the control of a Project Manager. This Work includes major repairs and internal improvements and redesign. You will provide technical advice and guidanceto site operatives, tenants and other staff, to ensure the services provided are of the highest standards of customer care and provided in a cost-effective manner. You will also ensure the quality of capital works by undertaking contract and post inspectionsand checking work undertaken in relation to contractors financial claims.You will possess a sound working knowledge of building maintenance & housing management issues along with contract management and basic budgeting & financial procedures. You must have a working knowledge of building and planning regulations and experience ofcontract administration and building surveying.This post involves daily site visits therefore you must be able to meet the transport requirements.
