Job Description

Role: Project ManagerLocation: Edinburgh (Hybrid working)Contract: 12 months (with the potential for extension or permanent role)Salary: £50-65,000 per annumOur client is a successful aviation technology business supporting some of the world’s busiest airports. The organisation is currently undergoing several large-scale projects for one of their key contracts.They are seeking a contractor on a fixed term contract basis to cover a maternity leave, working within the PMO office and focusing on delivery of the operational transformation programmes. Working as the main point of contact for the end client, the roleis an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a series of projects and see tangible outcomes.Responsibilities are included but not limited to:

  • Lead day to day planning and delivery of multifunctional projects
  • Support continuous improvement of project management methodologies and governance, championing effective project management frameworks across the business
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget
  • Work on proposals, tenders and bids as part of the business development process
  • Coordinate remote or third party project resource through project life-cycle
  • Maintain necessary project documentation to drive on target delivery
  • Ensure Change Management is executed effectively
  • Liaise with regulators and factor in turnaround time frames to ensure projects delivery is on time
  • Produce project reports and present to management
Personal profile:
  • Prince2, Six Sigma, Agile qualified or qualified with another recognised Project Management Qualification body
  • Knowledge of a full project life-cycle
  • Experience producing and presenting on detailed reports
  • An understanding of working in a highly regulated environment
  • Strong stakeholder management - both internal and external
  • Experience within Aviation is desired but not necessary
