Job Description

We are working on an exclusive opening with a modern, flexible, and growing firm of accountants that can offer an ambitious individual room to develop to a company Director. You will initially join the firm as a Client Manager and will have senior experience within a client-facing practice environment.As part of the role, you will be entitled to a competitive package (c £38,000), 25 days holiday, flexible working hours/home working, on-site parking at the office when required and company pension.Client Manager - Role Profile:

  • To manage a varied portfolio of clients with a high level of autonomy - individuals, sole traders, partnerships, and Limited companies.
  • To develop and grow the firm’s client base, providing additional services to existing clients, and actively seeking new business in the local area.
  • To lead, support, and develop the team to ensure our clients are receiving an excellent client experience.
  • Be up to speed on the latest tax and accounting technical principles.
  • We are focused on using the latest technology available, so experience with cloud accounting products such as Xero, QBO, Receipt Bank, and forecasting products would be ideal.
  • Client Manager - Core DutiesBusiness Services:
  • Reviewing team members work - company accounts, partnerships, sole traders, and personal tax returns.
  • Preparation of annual accounts, management accounts and personal tax returns.
  • Manage staff and workloads to ensure internal deadlines are met.
  • Build positive relationships with clients and provide full support to clients in person, telephone or over video call.
  • Business Development:
  • Identify areas to develop new business or offer additional services and follow these opportunities through to ensure implementation.
  • Promote the services of the business to clients and potential clients.
  • Team Support:
  • Supporting the training and development of the team
  • Working closely with the Managing Director as part of the management team to improve the business
  • Ensure processes and procedures are up to date and efficient
