Job Description

A Buyer (Indirect) is required for an Aviation business in Aberdeen to cover maternity leave for an initial 9 months, likely to extend to 12.The role will allow for remote working up to 100% of the time but ideally is for a local candidate to the area.The role will interview on short notice and likely start in early October.Key responsibilities:

  • Focus on any strategic/longer term projects within the business. Reacting to RFQs submitted to the Value Plan on RMS (emails are more likely used) - day to day liaising with relevant stakeholders of said projects/requests for gathering info/spec, requestingquotations from suppliers, sourcing potential new approved vendors, summarising findings and reporting back
  • Act as the main procurement POC for any new ones and run with the relevant tasks at hand
  • Vendor management wherever possible acting as POC for any wider contractual issues
  • Dealing with many queries on historic contracts or missing information within the business
  • Indirect cover such as more general RFQs, raising POs on RMS and invoice queries
  • Credit safe checks, adding new vendors to Sage
  • General housekeeping/admin
