Job Description

Our client is a global leader in the specialty materials sector who operating within the aerospace, defence, and automotive industries. They are looking to strengthen their operations team with a Quality Assurance Technician, the core duties include:Investigations, Quality Projects, and data collection exercises for the department under the guidance of the Quality Specialists to support Customer and business initiatives and development.Liaise with Suppliers, under guidance of QEs, issuing and following up SCARs raised and systemic QMS needs.To be considered you should ideally have previous experience in a similar QA role within a manufacturing business OR if you are a recent STEM graduate looking to pursue a career in QA please do apply.Additional responsibilities include:

  • Become familiar with Hexcel software systems, Global and local, used to support QC and QA with a view to assisting with routine problem resolution
  • Take a pro-active role in any requested audit programmes, both internal and external.
  • As appropriate, take an active part in Customer specification reviews, ensuring full involvement and follow through to resolution.
  • Support in the resolution of internal and external Customer queries including release documents.
  • Maintenance of quality records and management of archiving activities and facilities.
Skills and Requirements:
  • HNC or equivalent in a scientific discipline or equivalent experience of within a relevant organisation.
  • Good level of Microsoft Office, SPC, Statistics, Minitab, or other statistical packages.
  • Strong organisational skills, able to prioritise daily tasks, to meet often tight time constraints.
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal and the ability to work well independently as well as part of a team.
  • Experience of using Q-pulse/Pilgrim, LIMS or other laboratory-based data base management system would be desirable.
