Job Title: Java DeveloperLocation: DuxfordSalary: £competitive DOEHours: Monday - Friday - 37.5 hoursContract Type: Full time, permanentSector: IT & ScientificAn opportunity has arisen for a permanent, full time Java Developer for a scientific company located in Duxford.Do you have experience developing and deploying Java solutionsAre you looking to be part of a quirky company with excellent benefitsAre you familiar with Spring frameworkDo you have experience building RESTful web servicesAs Java Developer you will be responsible for:

  • Development of new components for our platform
  • Developing rapid prototypes
  • Working with customers and partners from inception to completion
  • Testing and documentation
  • Delivering outstanding customer support.
    • An ideal candidate for the Java Developer must have:
  • Experience developing and deploying Java solutions
  • Experience using RESTful web services
  • Familiarity with Spring framework
  • Ability to design and build unit-tested, modular code
  • Knowledge of Agile software development process and unit testing.
    • Experience of the following would be an advantage:
  • Lucene based search technologies
  • Knowledge of AWS
  • Experience using JavaScript
  • Understanding of scalable architectures
  • An interest in Machine Learning/ AI
  • Outside interest in coding
