Our client based in Great Dunmow are seeking the following :Cable assembler (cable shop)Temp to perm£10.80/hr subject to experience.Detail:• Manufacturing job• Day shift, 38hrs / wk• On the job training will be given.• Follow written work order / detailed work instructions• Follow manual handling training & Health and safety procedures - use of suits, gloves, respirators, safety shoes & local extraction.• Observe high level of cleanliness. Clean up / put away each day.• Use of hand tools - Measuring to length, cutting and stripping cable, soldering, wrapping.• Work to a job list, though, jobs and demand vary from day to day as set by the department supervisor.• Good physically health and eyesight - some heavy lifting required.• Capable of learning multiple stages• We require a flexible approach to work, in a fast-paced environment to meet customer demands.• Follow test and inspection procedure: Performing electrical insulation & continuity testing. Visual checks for cuts, abrasions, marks, cracks, dents, scratches, surface finish & cleanliness.• Output will be monitored against average rate of 4 cables/stage/day.• Write concessions and mark-up works orders when required.The hours of work are:Monday to Thursday 08.00 - 16.30. Friday 08.00 - 15.45.15 min tea break in morning, 45 minute lunch from 12.30 and 10 min tea break in afternoon.Overtime is readily available on any hours worked in excess of the 38 weekly hours and paid at time and half.If you have the skills and experience please apply online or send your cv to .
