Job Description

HR AdvisorStarting salary from £32,542Up to 5% bonus12 months fixed term contract – maternity cover40 hours a weekSunderland & Home Hybrid working – Travel requiredWe have an exciting opportunity for a HR Regional Advisor to come join us for a fixed term (up to 12 months) to cover maternity leave. This role is a key part of our small and established HR team where you will support the HR Business Partner,HR Team and your fellow HR Advisor.You will be based in the Sunderland office with a requirement to travel our network (Sunderland, Cumbria and North East areas included) to support our operations teams, together within some corporate functions for the purposes of absence management, disciplinary,performance and grievance meetings/hearings etc (monthly caseload averaging 20-30 cases with a mix of these activities).Your key accountabilities and responsibilities will include• Developing relationships with your key stakeholders, supporting mainstream case management through all stages, while taking into consideration the level of risk, employment legislation and best practice• Full end to end case management e.g coaching managers on process, attending meetings, writing notes and relevant outcome letters• Assisting and guiding managers on HR related policies and legislation• Managing grievance, disciplinary, performance and attendance issues• Coaching and training managers on process• Travel to sites across the region to support field-based colleagues• Updating policies and HR systems on a regular basisWhat we are looking for• CIPD Level 5 or working experience equivalent• Previous HR Officer or Advisor experience is essential alongside previous experience of Case and Hearing management• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple cases to the highest standard• Good knowledge of employment law• Professional and friendly communication style• Team player but also a self-starter• Knowledge and proficiency in HR systems e.g. SAP/Success factors/Peoplesoft would be advantageous• An understanding and working knowledge of wider HR functions e.g. recruitment, onboarding and reward would also be beneficial• Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicleWhat we offer you• Fixed Term Contract - up to 12 months for maternity cover• Starting salary of circa £32,542 (dependent upon experience)• Up to 5% bonus per annum based upon personal and company objectives• 25 days annual leave (plus recognised bank holidays and 2 half days over the Christmas period• SSP for first 7 calendar days then occupational sick pay• A generous stakeholder 5/10 pension scheme• Free onsite parking• Flexible benefits and salary sacrifice options... from discounts on a variety of UK attractions, gym membership, restaurant discounts, experience days...and exclusive NGN discounts and much more!We are ...
