Job Description

Job Title: Teaching AssistantLocation: Disley, StockportWorking Hours: Monday-Friday, 08:30 AM - 4:30 PMSalary: Weekly PayContract Type: Temp-PermRequired Qualifications: Enhanced DBS on the update serviceExperience: Ideally, experience working with children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, especially autism and associated social and communication needs.We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team in Disley, Stockport. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing support to children with autism and associated social and communication needs in a bespokeand nurturing environment.Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with autism and associated needs.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualized education plans.
  • Foster a positive and nurturing learning environment.
  • Support students in their academic and personal development.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to create a supportive and inclusive atmosphere.
Requirements:
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service is a mandatory requirement.
  • Ideally, previous experience working with children with SEMH needs, particularly autism and associated social and communication needs.
  • A caring and patient approach, with a genuine commitment to the welfare and development of students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to adapt and be flexible in a bespoke educational setting.
