Summary Lyme is a house on a 1,400 acre estate with a medieval herd of red deer, with six centuries of history and a large collection of period items. Outside, there is the elegant Rose Garden, Ravine Garden or the luxurious herbaceous borders next to the reflectinglake where a certain Mr Darcy met Miss Bennet in the BBC production of Pride and Prejudice.The Hours:Flexible hours to be discussed at interview with a variety of shift patterns available. The role will require weekend hours but again we would discuss your availability upon successful completion of your application.Wherever possible we aim to offer a consistent working pattern, however it may be necessary for us to alter this pattern from time to time to suit the needs of the business. What youll be doing You’ll enjoy preparing food from scratch using fresh/seasonal ingredients and will be confident creating one pots, stews, bakes, breads, brownies, cakes, pastries using the Cookbook recipe book under supervision. Preparing & presenting food to order serveddirectly to the customers over busy lunchtime periods. Working within a bustling atmosphere as part of passionate team this role plays a core part in providing fantastic customer service. Your duties will include working primarily as a Kitchen Assistant, supporting the Head Chef and the team in the successful deliveryof our menu. You will be trained to undertake basic food preparation tasks under the supervision of our chefs and cooks, kitchen porter and cleaning tasks.
