Job Description

Do you have Material Planner experience, and are you seeking a new job in Desford Jonathan Lee Recruitment is helping a collaborative company recruit a Supply Analyst, and the hybrid role comes with an umbrella contract rate of £16.60/hr.The Material Planner role is primarily focused on maximizing external supplier performance through understanding our supply network to drive the execution of planned and scheduled orders whilst also remaining focused on inventory management to prevent excessmaterial within the network. You will need to be able to collaborate and negotiate with suppliers to deliver material per requirements.In your first few weeks in this Material Planner role, you can expect to:

Schedule exception management
Inbound shipments tracking and supplier shipping performance
Collaborate and negotiate with suppliers to deliver material per requirements
Monitor, track and analyse supplier performance metrics
Manage the timely shipment of premium freight

To apply for this Material Planner role, you will need a general knowledge of production scheduling and capacity management. You will also require the following:

Ability to use and troubleshoot the MRP systems
Knowledge or experience in material control, purchasing, and parts distribution
Experience or knowledge of inventory control, manufacturing engineering, operations and transportation or logistics
Self-motivation and ability to work independently, as deadlines are in place for specific tasks
Keen attention to detail
