Job Description

Import, Export and Customs Duty Administrator Desford, LE9 9JT office based Initial 12 month contract, likely to be extended for the right person.Monday-Thursday 08:00-17:00, early finish on Friday at 11:30!Up to £14.46 per hour PAYE (depending on experience) / Umbrella rates also available Have you imported or exported goods in/out of the UK Are you familiar with the administration that goes with UK imports/exports Do you see yourself working in Global Supply chain industry If “yes” and you enjoy working in a busy environment, where everyday is different, this could be the opportunity you are looking for you.What would the Import, Export and Customs Duty Administrator do

  • · Ensure import and export compliance, making sure all documentation is trade compliant.
  • · Issue Clearance instructions and deal with Customs ports and Customs entries.
  • · Handle daily import, export and Customs activity with freight forwarders.
  • · Export declarations, duty deferment payments and ensure full HMRC compliance.
  • · Review Customs entries completed by brokers to ensure compliance.
  • · Liaise with HMRC, freight forwarders and supply chain.
What experience will the Import, Export and Customs Duty Administrator need
  • · Previous experience and understanding of working within a Global Imports/Exports department.
  • · Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative work style.
  • · Ability to work and communicate with other departments, and external third parties.
  • · Good IT skills, SAP and PowerBI would be desirable
  • · The ability to work in an organised, planned manner whilst paying excellent attention to detail.
  • · Demonstrable experience of consistently meeting deadlines.
