Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Dalkeith, is currently looking to recruit 2 x Senior Administrator for a 3 month contract on a rate of £13.02/hour (PAYE). The working patterns will be Monday – Thursday 8.30 – 16.30; Friday 8.30– 15.30 (35 hours per week).Responsibilities:- Supervise and manage the training of staff and internal/external stakeholders when appropriate.- Identify requirements and deploy resource effectively to ensure that tasks are completed accurately, timeously and within organisation’s policies and procedures.- Provide updates on progress against plan and report on the status of risks to ensure all tasks are completed within specified deadlines.- Contribute to the organisation’s continuous improvement initiatives through identification, analysis and recommendation of process improvements, efficiency savings and potential required changes to policy within own area of work.- Conduct system/UAT testing including writing of test scripts to ensure systems are fit for purpose.- Build and maintain effective relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders to ensure a high level of customer service. - Respond to queries and provide advice and guidance to stakeholders regarding specific organisation’s policies and procedures.- Produce documentation and correspondence relating to procedures to ensure that organisation’s policy and procedure is accurately reflected and all information is up-to-date. - Collate, track and analyse information/reports in order to help inform decisions, track progress against plan and contribute to the production of budgets. - Ensure that all payments to be made are processed and verified within agreed timescales.- Provide administration support for internal / external meetings or events within their own area of work if required.Essential Skills:- As a minimum be educated to SCQF Level 6 (e.g. SVQ 3/Higher). OR - Be able to demonstrate direct relevant experience for this role. - Be able to operate SQA desk top packages and business systems at the appropriate level for this role.- Be able to operate specialist IT systems relevant to this role.- Be able to understand and carry out basic numerical and or financial calculations and analyse data.If you would like to hear more about this opportunity please get in touch.
