Job Description

Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Dalkeith, is currently looking to recruit an Administrator for an initial 12 week contract - commencing the 2nd of April until the 28th of June 2024 - on a rate of £11.70/hour PAYE. The working hoursare Monday to Friday - 11am to 7pm. This role will be based onsite in Dalkeith.Responsibilities:- Provide administrative support to ensure activities are carried out accurately and according to plan and to ensure compliance with documented processes.- Data entry: create and maintain records, standard reports and spreadsheets to ensure information is up-to-date, easy to access and accurate.- Carry out filing of information to ensure it is stored accurately following relevant policies and procedures.- Provide high levels of customer service in respect to queries ensuring responses are issued promptly, accurately and following guidelines while maintaining key stakeholder relationships.- Carry out numerical calculations.- Communicate with internal and external customers by phone, in writing (email and standard letters) and face to face where appropriate within tight timescales.- Maintain a tidy work area and comply with all Health and Safety regulations.Essential Skills:- Good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.- Excellent customer service skills.- Be able to understand written and verbal communications.- Good, general administrative skills.- PC literate with proficient and accurate keyboard skills.- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.- Flexible working approach and ability to work on own as well as part of a team.- Experience of working to tight deadlines.- Office based experience required.- Competent IT skills specifically in (Excel & Word).- Requires good attention to detail and the ability to multitask.- Confident telephone manner and excellent customer service skills.- Ability to work independently and prioritise and manage own workload in accordance to staff operating procedures.- Sensitivity to and understanding of cases.If you would like to hear more about this opportunity please get in touch.Required skills
