Job Description

Are you a Mechanical EngineerMaybe you are a Maintenance Fitter or a Mechanical Maintenance EngineerIf so, this will be a role for you!We are currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer or Fitter with experience in the refurbishment and rebuilding of used mechanical and hydraulic presses, feeding, decoiling, and ancillary equipment.Our client is one of the UKs leading suppliers of Mechanical & Hydraulic Power Presses, Press Feeds and Coil Handling Equipment.What are we really looking forThe ideal candidate:

  • Experience of new and aged presses.
  • Refurbishment, rebuilding and build from new.
  • Working on a wide range of power presses from single stroke to progression, from hand fed to roll fed presses.
  • Experience of a wide range of presses from 10T to 1,800T.
  • Experience of mechanical and hydraulics.
Your Main duties:
  • The refurbishment and rebuilding of used mechanical and hydraulic presses, feeding, decoiling and ancillary equipment.
The Experience we ask for:
  • A knowledge of power presses is essential with a good working knowledge of understanding press operation.
  • Experience of working with and the operation of mechanical and hydraulic power presses.
  • Whilst not essential a basic understanding of general electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems would be ideal.
Whats on Offer:Salary: £30,000 to £35,000 PA, depending on experience.Weekly Hours: 8.00 to 17.00 - Mon to Thurs and 8.00 to 12.00 - Fri
  • Together with used machines we also offer the candidate the exciting opportunity of working on the installation, training and commissioning of new power presses and new feed lines with a comprehensive range of ancillary equipment.
