Job Description

Employer description:Our client creates a range of software and apps for computer, mobile and the Internet. Their wealth of experience applies to any industry or organisation, from small organisations to multi-national businesses and the public sector.Their products are developed in the UK and used internationally and as a company they have been building a comprehensive range of solutions for two decades. The client has many years of experience with long term customer relationships. Their designs havewon both national and regional awards.Overview:The successful candidate will be marketing one established product which is currently going through a new website update, as well as an update on all marketing literature.Primary role: The apprentice will be working on a new product that is currently being launched.The apprentice will work with a part-time external marketing consultant who will provide oversight, manage tasks and workload whilst supporting the candidate, and internal sales team.Main responsibilities: Exact responsibilities will depend on experience, but the successful candidate will have exposure to all elements of marketing:

  • Social Media
  • SEO (outsourced)
  • Analytics
  • Reporting and recommending changes to websites
  • Graphic design
  • Copy writing
  • Blogging
  • Video creation
  • Expected to take part and contribute actively in marketing strategy and planning meetings
Desirable skills and Personal qualities:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good administrative, organisational and time management skills
  • Mature and confident outlook
  • Able to generate ideas and communicate them and champion them
  • Someone with a good work ethic and a self-starter
  • We look for people who will pro-actively identify what needs to be done and get on and does it
  • Be able to support their decisions with logic.
  • We also support mistakes as part of the learning process and so we want someone who is not scared to try things
Entry requirements:You need to have 5 GCSEs
  • Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades D or above
  • 3x GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades A-C in any subject
You must not already have a qualification in a similar subject at the same level, or higher level than this apprenticeship.If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.Find out more here. https://Qualifications/UKQRS/Default.aspxWorking week:35hrs a week.Future prospects:This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to to kickstart a career within Digital Marketing.
