Our aim is to create an environment in which staff and prisoners feel safe and causes of prison stress are minimised. Central to our philosophy is the relationship between staff and prisoners. Our training and operational practices emphasise theneed to treat prisoners with dignity and respect and G4S staff build positive and supportive relationships with the prisoners in their care. HMP & YOI Parc accommodates 1038 convicted male adult prisoners and remand/ convicted young offenders and young peoplein a secure but modern environment.This is an exciting opportunity to join our newly formed resettlement function, which aims to deliver improved resettlement outcomes for prisoners at HMP & YOI Parc.The role offers the opportunity to become an Early Days in Custody (EDiC) Case Worker and make a real difference to the first impressions that prisoners have when they arrive. Our EDIC team have been established to ensure newly arrived prisoners have a positiveexperience where they are treated with dignity, respect and care. The team will provide a consistent point of support from the moment prisoners arrive on their transport until they leave our induction unit, ensuring they feel welcome, looked after and calm.Within this team, youll be required to provide support and assistance, undertake assessments, provide brief interventions and facilitate group sessions.
