Summary As the public face of our properties, you’ll provide a warm, friendly welcome, give information about the property, answer questions and make sure everyone has an enjoyable and memorable visit.The Hours: Flexible hours to be discussed at interview with a variety of shift patterns available. On average, youll work one or two days per week, including some weekends, and more during busy summer periods.Your contractual location will bePaycockes House & Garden but youll occasionally be required to work at two other sites: Coggeshall Grange Barn and Bourne Mill in Colchester. What its like to work here Youll be a member of a part-time team of seven, working with different teammates on different days. You will also work alongside many support and satellite staff as well as a group of volunteers. The pace of the work can be rather lively, it can be quitesedate, but you will always be working in beautiful surroundings with supportive people.There are two on-site managers to guide you through the roles various tasks and duties and to help you fulfil your potential. Training is given in a range of skills and there is also the chance to take on further responsibilities and more specialised training,if you wish.Each team member is encouraged to spend a proportion of their work time pursuing their interests within the Trust and developing their career prospects. What youll be doing You will be an important part of a friendly and supportive team, working among beautiful surroundings. Although the primary focus of your role is to welcome and assist our visitors, you may be called upon for various other duties such as: helping with childrenstrails; tearoom duties; tour guiding; conservation cleaning; theatre stewarding; historical research; cleaning and tidying; events management; book shop organising; local liaison, and so on, depending on your interests.
