Summary Could you help us toinspire support for our cause at Paycockes House & Gardens and Grange Barn We have an exciting opportunity that would suit someone with an interest inour causeat our Coggeshall propertiesto play a key role in a small and ambitious team.Please note your working hours will fall on a Saturday and Sunday, as well other days of the week. All of your contracted hours will be undertaken between 30th March and 1st November 2020. Youll also be required to work Bank Holidays.This role will start in March 2020. More information will be provided at Interview Stage. What its like to work here Paycockes House is a stunning Tudor merchants house whose walls have more than a few stories to tell! Stunning woodcarving and elaborate paneling made this wealthy merchants house built to impress. Built around 1500 for Thomas Paycocke, the house is a grand example of the wealth generated in East Anglia by the cloth trade in the 16th century.Theexhibits tell the story ofwhat happened to Thomas house through hundreds of years of history as you piece together its timber framed secrets and the fascinating story of its riches to rags decline and Edwardian 20-year restoration. What youll be doingUnderstanding how and why we engage our supporters is vital. Guided byPaycockes House and Grange BarnsSpirit of Place, you’ll work with the team to link everything we do back to our cause and on-going work. You’ll confidently sell membership and raffle tickets, as well as work to exceed our sales targets. When interacting with our visitors, you’ll inform them of the amazing work we are doing and what their money is funding, promoting local projects as well as our national conservation ambitions.You’ll lead and work alongside the daily teams of volunteers and help ensure everyone feels a valuable team member, pulling together to provide a warm welcome, exceptional customer service and an engaging experience which resonates with visitors long after we have said farewell. You will assist in the promotion and delivery of a programme of activities celebrating the properties, contributing ideas and staying abreast of upcoming events and campaigns.Please also read the full role profile attached to this advert.
