Job Description

Summary The National Trust is renowned for its food and hospitality. We run 185 cafes, tea-rooms and restaurants all over England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and wed love you to join us.We’re looking for Food and Beverage Team Members for Clumber Park. In this role, you’d be making a real difference to the work of the National Trust, as well as helping to give people a memorable day out. Predominantly Monday to Friday working with the occasional weekend. Shifts will be worked between 8am and 5.30pm on average (may be 7pm in summer holidays).Salary: £11.50 per hour.Duration: Permanent contract.Interview date: You must be available for a group assessment on28th April 2024. What its like to work here Reporting to the Food & Beverage Assistant Managers, youll be based at Clumber Park (Worksop, Nottinghamshire, S80 3BE), once the country estate of the Dukes of Newcastle. Clumber is a beautiful expanse of parkland, heath and woods covering more than 3,800acres. There are a number of Food & Beverage outlets, including The Turning Yard Café, Lake Brew (grab and go), Central Bark (our dog friendly café) and a number of seasonal outlets. What youll be doing As a Team Member, your main focus will be front of house, dealing directly with people. You’ll welcome and look after everyone who comes to the café. With your love of working with people, your ‘can-do’ attitude and your desire to providean outstanding service, you’ll be making sure everyone has an enjoyable time. This is a lively business that’s constantly on the go, so teamwork and adaptability are crucial. You’ll be keen to understand what people want, to help them and to make recommendations. You’ll always keep the standards of food and drink preparation and presentation high. Using your excellent eye for detail, you’ll make sure all displays and signs are accurateand looking good. At times, you may need to help the kitchen team with preparing food. We’ll give you an induction that fits the job, and training in allergens and food safety, plus any mentoring needed to help you in your role.
