Job Description

Our client, a New Build Housing Developer, is seeking an experienced Multi-Trader to work within, predominately, Housing Association and already occupied properties.This position is a 1 year fixed term contract to cover sites in the South East and North/South London areas.Please only apply for this position if you are seeking a full time employed (PAYE) trades position and possess the following skills:

  • Good practical experience within all aspects of the building trade
  • Multi-skilled: basic knowledge of carpentry/bricklaying and plastering / dry lining and all finishing trades
  • Ability to provide a high level of customer service at all times, professional, friendly and courteous
  • Flexible (available to work overtime/weekends/emergency call outs)
  • Hold full current driving licence
  • Must be able to work on own initiative
    • Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8.00am - 5.00pm however flexibility is required at times to meet business needs.Salary £36,000 per annum, plus 25 days holiday, company van, pension, private healthcare, death in service, and other flexible benefits.You will need to use your own tools.The purpose of this position is to visit customers homes to resolve defects in a prompt, reliable and effective way.Responsibilities:
  • To fix defects wherever possible in a prompt, professional and tidy manner and particularly aware of protection requirements and cleanliness when working in both occupied and stock/show home properties.
  • Co-ordinate with Administrator on appointments to visit customer properties.
  • Liaise with Inspector as required on work to be carried out at customers property.
  • Ensure acceptance sheets are signed by customer as proof of completion that the work is finished to a high standard to the customers approval.
  • Liaise with Customer Service team to close off all outstanding queries.
  • Maintain in good order the company vehicle assigned and be mindful of the responsibilities of the road worthiness of the vehicle.
  • Be well presented in company work-wear as provided.
  • Ensure all tools are kept in clean and working order and meet all H+S requirements.
