Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant based between Chelmsford & Braintree on a permanent basis.The successful will be responsible for the day-to-day running of accounts for a small business.Roles & Responsibilities:· Monitoring cashflow· Bank postings & reconciliations· Customer & supplier account reconciliation· Preparation, recording & reviewing of monthly accounts including currency revaluations, prepayments, accruals, journals & closing the month in Sage· VAT returns· Credit control· Processing monthly payroll and submission to HMRC & pension provider· Sending customer invoices & statements· Processing & allocating customer payments· Answering customer queries by phone & email· Producing any customs documentation needed· Monitoring cost prices for all goods and services· Liasing with suppliers and dealing with any queries by phone & email· Processing Supplier paymentsExperience, Knowledge & Qualifications:· Qualified to at least AAT Level 2· Excellent attention to detail· Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an accounts environment· Flexible approach towards work· Ability to work as part of a team· Must be familiar with use of SAGE 50 & MS office· Ideally have own transport due to company locationWorking hours are Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:30 and this is a full time office based position.In return our client offers a salary of up to £30,000 per annum which may be negotiable depending on experience.Market 36 Recruitment Ltd cover a variety of sectors including Commercial, Industrial, Engineering, and HR & Finance.
